Since the spread of Covid-19, various immunity boosters and other ayurvedic recipes have been doing rounds. Now, Goa government has started an integrated treatment for COVID-19 patients and those under quarantine by using both allopathy and Ayurveda.
Chief Minister Pramod Sawant who is also an Ayurveda practitioner said on Thursday, April 9 that Goa will be the first state to integrate allopathy and Ayurveda to treat COVID-19 patients.
The Chief Minister said Goa has recorded seven COVID-19 cases so far, of which one patient has recovered from the infection. The patient will be kept under monitored quarantine for 14 days.
“Goa will be the first state to use both these streams of medicine. Although, Ayurveda cannot cure COVID-19, it will certainly boost patients’ immunity.” he said
Sources claim that the treatment will be administered in consultation with doctors who are dealing with COVID-19 patients.
