Kalburgi: Deputy Chief Minister Govind Karjol has instructed the district administration here that if those who have returned from abroad and those who participated in the Tablighi Jamaat event at the Nizamuddin Mosque in Delhi do not self-report themselves to the district officials then criminal cases must be registered against them.
Karjol was speaking at a meeting of district-level officials on Saturday, April 11 at the district’s Deputy Commissioner’s office.
He also stated that no one should starve because of the national lockdown and so advised the officials to issue temporary ration cards to the 15,799 applicants and provide them ration for two months.
Karjol added that the licenses of those ration shops and fair price shops should be terminated who charge money for the providing rations or who provide less rations.
