Karanataka Covid 19 tally rises to 232

Bengaluru: Six more cases of coronavirus has been reported in Karnataka on Sunday, April 12 evening taking the total number of infected persons to 232 in the state.
The fresh cases includes a two-year-old from Kalaburagi who is suffering from Severe Acute Respiratory Illness (SARI). The remaining five cases, including three children -aged 13, 12 and 10 – have been reported from Vijayapura
A total of 17 cases were detected on Sunday. Among the 17, four people are suffering from Severe Acute Respiratory Illness (SARI) — two of whom are in Bengaluru and one each in Vijayapura and Kalaburagi, the department said.
Following the sudden spurt in cases in Vijayapura, the department has initiated contact tracing.
The state has reported 6 deaths and 54 discharges of the total cases till date.
