No Covid-19 +ve case for 10th day in DK: On the right track, tweets BJP MLA

Mangaluru: No positive case of coronavirus has been detected in Dakshina Kannada district for the tenth day in a row.
“Dakshin Kannada is Going On a Right Track. 10 days Straight and NO Positive Cases of Covid-19. Maintain Social Distancing,” tweeted Mangaluru South MLA Vedavyas Kamath.
The district administration informed that out of the 12 cases detected in Dakshina Kannada, three cases are active at the moment while the other patients have been discharged after recovery.
A total of 38,958 persons have been screened till date. This includes 21 people screened today. As many as 1,485 persons are in home quarantine and 24 persons in quarantine facility at ESI hospital. The mandatory 28-day home quarantine has been completed by 4,588 people and they have not reported any symptoms for the virus.
Of the 636 samples sent for examinations till date, 456 tested negative and 12 positive. Samples of 156 persons – mostly samples of targeted primary and secondary contacts in confiment areas were sent for testing today.
