Mangaluru: Abandoned car at Netravati bridge; police suspect suicide by owner

Mangaluru: A 35-year-old man is reported to have gone missing after abandoning his car at Netravati bridge near Jeppinamogaru on Wednesday April 15.

The car owner has been identified as Vikram Gatti, a resident of Kolya.

The police were able to establish his identity through a Pan CArd and other documents found from inside the car.

Vikram’s family said that he left home on Wednesday night after getting a telephonic call and was unreachable since then.

Since the car was found near Netravathi bridge, police are suspecting that he may have committed suicide and and the search is underway in the river by local fishermen and expert divers.
