Gangavati: A cycle-based tea vendor, V Satyanarayana from here, has been distributing free tea and drinking water to the many ‘COVID Warriors.’

Many stories have been reported of volunteers and other charitable organisations distributing lunch, tea, coffee, water and buttermilk to on-ground workers fighting the spread of the virus.

V Satyanarayana, a resident of the town’s Vidyanagar area, sells tea on his cycle every day for a living.

Since the past 15 days he has been distributing tea and water to medical workers, police officials, ASHA workers, Anganwadi workers, Home Guards personnel and others involved in containing the virus for free.

Speaking to Udayavani, he said that he wants to make some contribution in the fight against the virus and his service is minuscule compared to others whom he serves.
