Kalaburagi: Police officials in Kalaburagi have started the investigation and enquiry of the people who took part in the Chariot procession on Thursday, April 16.

Despite warning, more than 100 villagers participated in the Siddhalingeshwara chariot procession on Thursday, April 16.

It is said that, few days back the PSI had called for a meeting with the villagers and warned them not to conduct any kind of mass gathering. Although in the meeting villagers agreed to not take out the procession, on Thursday morning villagers participated in the chariot procession.

Kalaburagi Superintendent Lada Martin said, “All the participants belong to the village. We are enquiring the people who participated in the procession and will soon find out who is responsible for this”

The police officials have registered a case in Wadi and took action against the PSI.
