Udupi: Student held for throwing currency notes; let off with warning

Udupi: The city police have caught a boy who created chaos near Aadi Udupi by throwing fake currency notes on road.

This boy had thrown fake currency notes on the streets of Vadiraja Nagara near Krishna Mutt and fled. Few localities had collected the notes and reported this to police. A case was also registered in this regard.

The boy, a high school student was identified after going through the CCTV footage.

As per police, the boy told that he went to shop to buy tea powder and while coming back, he threw the notes, used in games on road withuot any wrong intention.

Police let him off after giving a strict warning to not to repeat the act again.
