India announces online Covid-19 training programme for SAARC countries, first session held by AIIMS-Raipur

Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) is conducting web-based live training seminars for healthcare workers in SAARC. AIIMS-Raipur held the first-ever session on April 17, with a total of four dedicated sessions called ‘Covid-19 Pandemic: Prevention and Management Guidelines for Health Care Professional.’
The training will be imparted by the ministry under its Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) programme.
ITEC in a tweet said, “Taking forward @PMOIndia’s vision on #PrepareNotPanic for #SAARCfightsCoronoa, @MEAIndia announces e-@ITECnetwork training programmes on #COVID19 for healthcare professionals for @SAARCsec countries starting April 17, 2020,”
The program will help exchange best practices and connect healthcare professionals and providers across the SAARC region.
The e-ITEC webinars are of 45 minutes to 60 minutes interactive sessions and will cover various aspects including understanding Covid-19, infection prevention measures, diagnosis and clinical management of Covid-19 patients and contacts, field surveillance and public health measures and other emerging issue.
