Udupi: The third and final COVID-19 positive patient in the district was discharged after recovery on Saturday, April 18. The district now is COVID-19-free.

The recovered patient is a resident of Badagabetti in the district. He is an electrician by profession and was returning from Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala along with 31 others after finishing work there. On March 29, his samples tested positive for COVID-19.

Initially, he was admitted at Manipal and was shifted to Dr T M A Pai Hospital at Udupi on April 1.
