Bantwal man waives rentals for 21 shops, 12 houses at complex

Bantwal: Amid the coronavirus crisis, a man from Bantwal has waived rentals of as many as 21 shops and 12 houses at a complex owned by him in Panemangalore.
Mohammed Hassan, a native of Barimaru earns a living through the rentals from the shops, houses at the B H Complex. He was working abroad earlier but is now settled here for the past few years.
Realising the financial crisis of his tenants, he has already waived off a month’s rent and says that he won’t hesitate to waive rentals for another month if the lockdown is further extended.
Hassan said that middle-class people belonging to different religions are staying in the houses. They are facing a financial crisis owing to the nationwide induced lockdown. We can’t be inconsiderate to their problems, he said.
