Bengaluru: BJP MP Anath Kumar Hegde’s Twitter account has been suspended after his tweet on Tablighi Jammat.
“Earlier, on Twitter, I had tried to reveal explicitly the modus-operandi and the hidden agenda of Tablighi Jammat movement within India and around the world. The term Tablighi Jammat is very well known nowadays due to the obvious reasons. As a consequence of the above two bold steps taken by me, on 24th April my official Twitter account got blocked by Twitter India Inc. And asking me to delete my tweets against the “Tablighi Jammat” in order to unblock my official Twitter account. I will, certainly, never delete the said tweet because it was to expose the wrong being done under the umbrella of a religion,” said Anath Kumar Hegde in a press statement.
He further added, ” I recently came across an anti-national tweet in which the account holder was advocating Independence of Punjab State by demanding Khalistan. Being an Indian, in its true sense, I saw that tweet as an anti-national and anti-social act and hence reported to the Government to safeguard our national interest. ”
“I would like to throw some light on the discrimination and favoritism being done by Twitter India Inc. by asking a simple question that why my account was blocked for exposing Tablighi Jammat movement and why not of the person demanding Khalistan, the partition of India?” he said.
