Bantwal: Strict lockdown to be till May 3, says Kota Srinivas Pojary

Bantwal: In a meeting presided by the district in-charge minister Kota Srinivas Poojary at a guest house here, the minister instructed the officials to stringently impose the lockdown in the taluka.
He stated that there will be no relaxation and exemptions in Bantwla till May 3 and ASHA workers will be continuing surveying houses in Bantwal Kasba and Narikombu.
Two people have already died from COVID-19 in the taluka and two new cases were reported in the past week.
Bantwal Kasba, Narikombu have been sealed. A control room with a helpline has been set up for the residents. Officers have been deployed in shifts to provide essential items to their homes.
The meeting was also attended by MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, MLA Rajesh Naik, Deputy commissioner Sindhu B Rupesh and Tahsildar Rashmi.
