Following the COVID-19 outbreak, many people are spending a lot of time in the digital streaming platforms these days during lockdown for entertainment. Apps like Netflix, Amazon Prime and Hotstar cater to people to watch a variety of digital shows and movies.
People who prefer to watch Kannada movies have a limited number of movies on these platforms and there has been increasing demand for separate media online as well.
Actor and filmmaker Upendra has launched a new app, “Namma Flix” to cater to the on-demand video platform for Kannada content.
Developed by Anvition Entertainment Corporation, ‘Namma Flix’ is the first and only streaming platform for Kannada and it has a library of around 100 movies.
As per the description in Google play store, this app features movies, Original shows, and popular Kannada music as well.
The app features all the content as premium and the users who installed the app have been requesting the developers to add free content as well on Playstore.
The app has three subscription packages, Starter pack of Rs. 19/week, Premier pack of Rs. 49/month and VIP pack of Rs. 399/year. The makers are adding more and more content and in the coming days, they might add free and premium content.
