Lockdown: K’taka govt eases restrictions in few districts to allow limited activities, IT to continue work from home

Karnataka government has allowed the industries to resume operations in some of its districts except the containment zone. But there will be conditions in the operations of the IT sector as it has been asked to continue with work-from-home for its employees.
The lifting of restrictions saw an increase in traffic and road movement in Shivamogga, Hubbali and Kodagu districts.
Industry
Following the meeting with industrialists and industry bodies Karnataka govt has decided that all industries will be allowed to function from today.
Public Transport
The permission of one time movement of migrant workers have been granted. But as permission for public transport has not been granted, workers will have to use private vehicles or vehicles arranged by their companies.
The government will allow inter-state movement of students, migrant workers who have come to Karnataka and want to go back to their native states, also the inter-district movement by people within Karnataka will be facilitated.
Also, sub-Registrar offices have started functioning, they will facilitate passes for people via WhatsApp if people want to go to these offices for any work.
However, Salons, Malls, Theatres are still closed till May 3.
