Bengaluru: The Department of Pre-University Education (PU) in a circular has announced that the results of the first year PU examination will be declared on May 5.

The circular instructs PU colleges to declare results on that day.

The circular also orders the colleges not to demand fee payments now as many families are facing financial distress due to COVID-19 lockdown. It adds that fees must be collected from those willingly paying it.

Additionally, it directs colleges not to increase the fees for the academic year 2020-21.

The circular states that violating these instructions will result in strict action against the college.
