Bengaluru: Knife wielding youth demands liquor; arrested

Bengaluru: An incident of a youth wielding a knife and four of his accomplices threatening people for liquor in front of a liquor shop here has been reported on Monday, May 1.

The incident occurred at Vanilla Spirit Zone in Guruappanapalya in the city.

The man had arrived at the shop and started to threaten people outside the shop with a knife to give him liquor. Later, a few others arrived and started to threaten too.

Unheeding to them, many who were in the queue to buy liquor, overpowered the knife-wielding man. He was later handed over to the Madivala police station.

Two of the man’s accomplices escaped while one other too was apprehended and handed over to the police.
