MSME Ministry has launched a dedicated portal in order to help small business and startups through ‘information sharing’. MSMEs can share their ideas, innovation, and research in respective sectors before launching them

Registered users on the portal can share ideas, innovation and research, which will be reviewed by the officer concerned and published for public view. Users can rate these ideas for crowd sourcing and venture capitalists can also connect with the users.

How does it work

An idea, innovation or research may be submitted through a form on the website www.ideas.msme.gov.in . This submission will then be evaluated by a team of government experts and will be published in public domain on the basis of its potential.

The online forms for Idea, innovation and research can be easily filled in 5-6 Minutes.

Users can choose his/her areas of sharing ideas – Credit/Finance, Human Capital Development, Technology, Infrastructure, Marketing, and Policy

Respective sector- Rural Technology Innovation, Waste-to-Wealth, Agro-Processing, Manufacturing, Services, Khadi, and Coir

It also has the facility to indicate the stage of Idea – concept, prototype or commercialized

Papers and photos related to ideas and video and social media links can also be uploaded.

This portal will help rate ideas based on six parameters which include economic viability, lean manufacturing, technological feasibility etc.

It also gives access to all the schemes of the Government of India, State governments and Union territories pertaining to the MSME sector.
