Minor daughter of DK’s first COVID-19 casualty tests positive

Mangaluru: Two minors were among three new coronavirus cases reported in Dakshina Kannada on Wednesday, May 5.
Two residents of Boloor who tested positive for coronavirus – a 11-year-old girl and 35-year-old female – are contacts of patient 536 who was undergoing treatment at the First Neuro Hospital.
The other is a 16-year-old girl from Bantwal. She happens to be the daughter of patient 390 who died of coronavirus earlier.
Till date, 28 cases have been confirmed in Dakshina Kannada. This includes 12 discharges and three deaths. Presently, the district has 13 active cases of coronavirus.
