Mangaluru: Gaur that strayed into city died of cardiac failure says report

Mangaluru: The gaur which had strayed into the city and later died after being caught had died because of cardiac arrest due to shock says the post-mortem report by government veterinarians.
Two gaurs were found roaming in the city’s streets on Tuesday, May 5. One of them was caught to be released in the forest near Charmadi but died during the transit.
Meanwhile, the second gaur is presently living near the city in an area of shrubs. Forest officials are keeping an eye on it to prevent it from entering the city and eventually move it into the forest without catching it.
