Bengaluru: In a meeting with officials and ministers at his ‘Krishna’ residence, Chief Minister discussed setting up of a quarantine protocol to follow when Kannadigas from other States and abroad arrive in Karnataka.
The following points were discussed for the protocol:
1. All Kannadigas can arrive only according to the set guidelines for return.
2. All wanting to return must register online.
3. Only those Kannadigas who are stranded and have no means of sustenance at their present place of stay will be allowed to return.
4. Present place of stay/residence and destination must be correctly registered.
5. Mandatory 14-day quarantine for all returnees. No one can go home until the completion of quarantine.
6. The State Government will incur the ticket costs for those coming in trains from other States.
7. Mandatory COVID-19 for those selected for the test even if the returnee has already undergone test in other State or country.
8. No dead bodies can be brought to the State for the funeral or last rites, these must be done at the present place of stay/residence. Same applies within the State – no dead bodies will be allowed to transfer from one part of the State to another.
