Bengaluru: Addressing a news conference at the Congress’ state headquarters at Race Course Road, MLA U T Khader stated that the state government is treating the people of the State as enemies.
Explaining his accusation he further stated the State government has still not received any report from the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) regarding the status of COVID-19 in the State.
There is no knowledge at what stage is COVID-19 in the State. Is community spread occurring? Which age group is most vulnerable to the virus? What is the prediction for the next three months? he added.
Khader urged the government to ask ICMR to send the report adding that the Council has still not replied to the letter sent by the Additional Chief Secretary regarding this.
Khader claims that this careless behaviour of the government in getting the report along with the mismanagement in handling the migrant labourers’ problems and the struggle people have to go through to get a transit pass proves that the State government thinks that Kannadigas are its enemies.
