Kundapura: The dredging work on the Bagalakere lake at Kavradi near here was started on May 11.
The lake is being built under Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala’s rural development project. A grant of Rs 4 lakhs was sanctioned by Dharmadhikari Dr D. Veerendra Heggade.
B. Appanna Hegde, Basrur Mahalingeshwara temple Dharmadarshi, inaugurated the work by performing a pooja.
The event was held in collaboration with the Kavradi gram panchayat and lake development committee.
