Covid 19: Two patients recover in DK, one succumbs

Mangaluru: No positive case of coronavirus was reported in Dakshina Kannada on Thursday, May 14, a day which also saw the death of a patient and discharge of two persons.

As reported earlier, an 80-year-old woman from Kulashekara who was being treated at the designated COVID-19 hospital died today taking the number of fatalities in the district to five.

Meanwhile two others – patient 389 and patient 501 were discharged post recovery today.

A 30-year-old female (Patient 389) from Uppinangady and a 47-year-old woman (patient number 501) who had tested positive on April 19 and April 26 respectively were discharged today.

While Patient 389 had contracted the infection from her husband (P-325), patient 501 had contracted the infection at First neuro hospital where she was employed.

Till date, 34 confirmed cases of coronavirus have been reported in the district. This includes five deaths and 17 discharges.
