Udupi: Man arrested for attempting rape on pretext of offering help

Udupi: A 34-year-old man was arrested for attempting rape on a woman on the pretext of offering help.
The accused is identified as Honnappa, hailing from Kadur of Chikkamagaluru district.
As per sources, the woman had filed a complaint with Brahmavar police against Honnappa a few days ago.
In her complaint she informed that she was heading towards Santhekatte on foot, Honnappa who came in the motorcycle offered to drop her home to which she agreed, but instead of dropping her home he rode her towards Baikady-Kunajal road to a nearby forest area. Growing suspicion of his intentions, she managed to flee from the spot.
