Mangaluru: 2nd special flight from Dubai arrives

Mangaluru: The second flight from Dubai to the city under the Vande Bharat mission landed here successfully on May 18 at about 7:55 pm with 178 passengers.

Deputy Commissioner Sindhu B Rupesh, Police Commissioner Dr P S Harsha and Mangaluru International Airport director V V Rao personally received the passengers.

After the passengers were disembarked at the airport and money exchange, SIM distribution, health kit delivery and food were provided to them.

Each passenger’s health check was then conducted by the health department’s inspection team. Later stamping of passengers and immigration formalities was carried out.

All passengers were instructed to install the Aarogya Setu app. Later they were taken to the city’s hotels and hostels designated for their 14-day quarantine.
