Post meeting with BSY, hoteliers to continue takeaway services for three more days

Bengaluru: The Karnataka Pradesh Hotel and Restaurants’ Association (KPHRA) on Tuesday has agreed to wait for three more days before discontinuing takeaway services and food deliveries.

The decision was taken following an assurance from Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa to look into their demands.

The state government, in the fourth phase of the lockdown has not allowed dine in facility at hotels, restaurants but has only allowed it to remain open for take-away services.

Ealier in the day, the association threatened to stop take away orders and food deliveries till May 31 as a protest against the government’s decision to keep the hotels shut.

As per sources, the chief minister assured of putting forth their appeal to the Ministry of Home Affairs for further directions and a decision will be taken following the feedback.

The Centre had issued broad-based guildelines for fourth phase of the lockdown on May 17 and states were directed to follow these guidelines while announcing relaxations.
