Davanagere: Constable tests Positive for COVID-19, police quarters declared as containment zone

Davanagere: The District Administration has declared that the city police quarters as residing as containment zone on Tuesday, May 19 after a police constable was tested positive for COVID-19.

Speaking with this regard, Sub-inspector Hanumanthraya informed that they have requested the residents of police quarters to stay indoors and all the essentials items will be delivered to their doorstep by the department.

“As of now 20 police officers, 10 home guards have been quarantined,” he said.

He further added, “Including the police quarters there are 9 containment zones in the district.”
