Bantwal: Residents urge to open town’s sealed main road

Bantwal: On May 21, locals came together on the main road in front of the government hospital here which had been sealed along with Kasba village to demand the opening of the road for the ease of traffic.

Tahsildar Rashmi S R and police officials reached the spot and tried to convince the people gathered there.

Responding to this, MLA Rajesh Naik Ulippadiguttu said that he held a discussion with the chief minister on May 20 in Bengaluru and also met the Deputy Chief Minister on Thursday morning. He added that the demand of the people will be met in some way.

Former Minister B. Ramanath Rai visited the site and said that the authorities should take note of this demand and respond in a way that does not disturb the people. He added that people’s demand must be met in a scientific way.
