Udupi: The throat swab samples of a 17-year-old girl, who was undergoing cancer treatment at a hospital in Manipal here has tested negative for coronavirus after testing positive earlier.
The girl had arrived in Udupi from Chitradurga on May 16 for cancer treatment at KMC hospital.
Though the girl did not show any symptoms of coronavirus, her swab samples were sent for Covid 19 testing as a precautionary measure while being admitted to the hospital.
The results were received on May 19 and the girl was found to be Covid positive.
However swab samples of the girl that were sent for testing later turned to be negative. The result of a second test on Saturday was also negative.
