Mangaluru: As a measure of precaution after a police personnel at Vitla police station was found COVID-19 positive, residents within Vitla town panchayat limits will be voluntarily implementing a lockdown.
The market in the town will be open from 7 am to 2 pm. This will go into effect from Tuesday, May 26.
The Vitla shop owners, auto-rickshaws and hotel owners associations met on May 25 and adopted the unanimous decision to hold the self-organised lockdown.
