Bengaluru: A pet dog stuck in an unfinished and partially open storm-water drain was successfully rescued on Thursday, May 28.
The 10-year-old pet dog was stuck in the drain since Wednesday, May 27 and was rescued after 4-hour long operation by the Civil Defence team.
As per sources, around 2.30 pm, Hamsa Bhargava, a resident of Vidyaranyapura took Minchu, her pet dog for a walk. She recalls that Minchu was walking by her side but when she reached home, Minchu wasn’t there.
The family panicked and began searching for Minchu and by 8 pm the entire neighbourhood came together to look for the dog.
The family heard a faint noise after 11 pm and checked the SWD which had been left open and spotted Minchu’s eyes glowing in the dark.
The rain and wind had made the matter even worse.
The civil defence team reached the spot around 12 am and rescued the pet dog and handed it to the family.
