Mangaluru: MESCOM starts incentives for consumers

Mangaluru: MESCOM has issued a statement announcing the incentives/discounts on electricity bills for its consumers. The move comes as a result of the special package announced by Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa on May 7 which also had concessions to be granted by ESCOMS in the State.

The statement reads that bills paid within 1 to 5 days of the bill’s issuance will receive a 1% discount and bills paid within 6 to 15 days will receive a 0.5% discount.

LT consumers are eligible for a discount of upto Rs 10,000 and HT consumers are eligible for a discount of upto Rs 1 lakh.

This discounts will be adjusted in the next month’s electricity bill and will be applicable to the bills for the months of April, May and June 2020.

Additionally, 0.50% discounts on the advance payment’s of 12 months bills will be adjusted in the consumers account each month.
