Salons to remain closed on Sundays in DK, Udupi

Mangaluru: Salons in undivided Dakshina Kannada will remain closed on Sunday amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Following easing of lockdown restrictions, salons were permitted to reopen recently. The Centre had however issued certain protocols that need to be followed.
Citing difficulty in maintaining social distancing, owing to the huge number of customers on Sunday Dakshina Kannada and Udupi district Savitha Samaja decided to declare holiday for salons on Sunday.
Earlier barbershops remained closed on Tuesday but now, it has been decided to keep them closed on Sunday, said DK district Savitha Samaja President Anand Bhandary.
