Single-day leap of 150 cases; Udupi tally rises to 410

Udupi: Udupi district recorded its biggest single-day spike with 150 coronavirus cases being reported on Tuesday, June 2.

Earlier in the day, Revenue Minister Ashoka had hinted that 210 people have tested positive for the infection.

However as per the update from the district administration it is now gathered that 150 persons have tested positive for Covid 19, taking tally of infected persons to 410 in the district.

Few of those who tested positive had been released from quarantine recently leading to panic among people. As per the revised norms of GoK a person who has undergone 7-day os institutional quarantine can be discharged if he is asympotamatic.
