SSLC exam: Only 20 students allotted in a room, says DC Sindhu B Rupesh

Mangaluru: In the wake of SSLC exams, Dakshina Kannada district deputy commissioner Sindhu B Rupesh informed that as many as 30,835 students have registered themselves for appearing in the examination.

The SSLC examination will be held from June 25 across the state and Sindhu Rupesh presided a meeting with this regard.

Addressing the officials she informed that as many as 95 examination centres have been set up in the district, each room will have one 20 students.

“Nineteen additional examination centres have been set aside and as per the government guidelines, before entering examination hall every student will be tested with thermal screening anf if any symptoms of the disease are found they will be accommodated in a separate room,” said Sindhu

She further directed the officials to sanitize all the rooms where the examination will be held.

“The students will be given free masks which will be provided by scouts and guides as well as G Shankar Family Trust. Every examination centre will have four scouts’ teachers, who will serve as volunteers. As may as 345 students from Kasaragod will be appearing for the examination in the district and that they can enter Karnataka by showing hall tickets at the state border,” she informed.

She also informed that Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation would be arranging free bus travel for the students and that the students can travel on those buses by showing their hall tickets.
