Covid 19: Udupi, DK report 145 cases as K’taka breaches 5k mark

Udupi/Mangaluru: Udupi reported 121 new cases of coronavirus while Dakshina Kannada accounted for 24 new cases as the tally of those infected in the state rose to 5213.

Karnataka reported 378 new cases, 2 deaths and 280 discharges on Saturday, the health department said.

Of the new cases, 333 are interstate passengers and 8 passengers had international travel history.

Till date, 1968 people have been discharged and 59 deaths reported.

Most of today’s cases were reported from Udupi (121), Yadagiri (103), Kalaburagi (69). Dakshina Kannada and Bengaluru accounted for 24 and 18 cases respectively.

In Udupi till date 889 confirmed cases are reported. 21 persons were discharged today. So far 103 persons have recovered and one death has occured in the district.
