Karnataka: BJP’s nominees’ list for Rajya sabha elections ready

Bengaluru: The names of Ramesh Katti, Prabhakar Kore and Prakash Shetty have been finalized by the BJP for the Rajya Sabha polls and submitted to the Party’s Central Election Committee.

The names of Prof. N Nagaraj, Nirmal Kumar Surana and Davijay Sankeshwar had come up as the potential nominees. Finally, Ramesh Katti, Prabhakar Kore and Prakash Shetty’s name were sent to the Party’s central leadership.

Some in the BJP have stated that of these three names sent to the central leadership, none maybe be chosen by the leadership and new names might be recommended, which the State unit will accept.

The three names were decided by a core committee consisting of Jagadish Shettar, R Ashok, C T Ravi, State general secretaries Arvind Limbavali, N Ravikumar and organisation secretary Arun Kumar.
