Karnataka: Govt reduces marks of KPSC exams

Bengaluru: The State government through a notification has modified the marks in a competitive examination held by the Karnataka Public Service Commission.
In the Karnataka Recruitment of Gazetted Probationers (Appointment by Competitive Examinations) (Amendment) Rules 2020, the government changed the maximum marks for the examinations held for recruiting Group A and B Gazetted Probationers.
The candidates will now be appearing for five subjects instead of seven. The total marks, therefore, is reduced to 1,250 from 1,750.
Additionally, the scores for the personal interviews, conducted after the examinations, have been reduced to 80 from 200.
