Kanpur based Ethical hacker earns Rs 3.78 lakh for tracking Google bugs

Rahul Singh, a cybersecurity researcher and ethical hacker from Kanpur found security issues in Google products during the lockdown and earned $5000.

Rahul found three bugs in Google products and received a total of Rs 3.78,000 from Google as part of their Bug Bounty program

It is said that Google had an open forum where, under the rules of the Vulnerability Reward Program, it rewarded any hacker for detecting vulnerabilities in its products since 2010.

It took Rahul Singh 10 days to find the three bugs for which he received reward from  Google.

Earlier, Rahul had managed to gain full access to the UPTU and Kanpur University servers, including the passwords for all email accounts and their passwords, and also warned both universities of the security issues in their websites.
