Monsoon is the perfect time for viruses and bacteria to thrive and this time of the year when viral fevers, allergic reactions, and other viral infections are most rampant.
Here 5 tips to stay healthy this monsoon
1.Increase intake of Vitamin C. Add garlic, vegetables, fruits and cereals to your diet. Drinking green tea can also help in strengthening your immunity
2.Avoid eating fried food that is difficult to digest. Also, the highly humid weather in monsoon can cause digestion process to slow down.
3.Keep your skin clean by bathing twice a day as the humidity can cause a buildup of sweat and dirt, along with other toxins, on the surface of the skin.
4.Eye infections like conjunctivitis, stye, dry eyes and corneal ulcers are common during the monsoons. Hence, refrain from touching eyes especially with dirty hands.
5.Walking in dirty water can expose your feet to viruses and bacteria. Try to avoid stepping into the puddles of water on the road. If you happen to step in one, change your footwear immediately on reaching home.
