RS polls: All 4 candidates from K’taka get elected unanimously

Bengaluru: All four candidates, including former Prime Minister H D Deve Gowda were elected unopposed to the Rajya Sabha from Karnataka.

H D Deve Gowda form JD(S), veteran Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge and BJP’s Iranna Kadadi and Ashok Gasti were elected unanimously.

The election was facilitated to fill Rajya Sabha seats represented by Rajeev Gowda and B K Hariprasad of Congress, Prabhakar Kore of BJP and D Kupendra Reddy of JD(S) that will fall vacant on June 25 with their retirement.
