Mangaluru: Toxic waste water again starts flowing from Pachanady dumpyard

Mangaluru: The Pachanady dumpyard is again starting to flow out toxic water after heavy rains lashed the city in the past few days.
Last August too the water had flowed out from the dumpyard and had wrecked havoc in the low lying areas causing more than 5,000 arecanut and coconut trees to die.
A road in the middle of the dumpyard is now filled with water and is spewing toxic fumes. Mosquitoes too have increased due to the collected water.
Locals are worried that if heavy rains continue then the large collected water will burst out and cause a disaster again in the city.
