COVID 19: State govt to observe Mask Day on June 18, says BSY

Bengaluru: Chief Minister Yediyurappa said that the government has decided to observe ‘Mask Day’ on June 18, in order to spread awareness on wearing masks and how important it is for us to break the chain of infections.
Speaking with this regard Yediyurappa said, “Film actors, sportspersons, and other celebrities would take part in the same which would begin from the Ambedkar statue in Bengaluru’s Vidhana Soudha premises.”
“The same will be followed across all district and taluk headquarters as well. We have dircted all the concerned officers to penalize and take strict action against those failing to maintain social distancing norms and to wear masks,” said Yediyurappa.
