SC stays annual rath yatra at Jagannath Temple says ‘Lord won’t forgive us’

New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Thursday stayed the annual Lord Jagannath Rath yatra in Odisha citing the coronavirus pandemic.
The yatra was scheduled to start on June 23.
Hearing a petition seeking to defer the yatra, Chief Justice of India SA Bobde said that Lord Jagannath will not forgive us if we allowed the rath yatra.
