IMD forecasts heavy rain in coastal region: Yellow alert in DK & Udupi

Mangaluru: Yellow alert has been issued in Udupi, Dakshina Kannada and a few districts of Uttara Karnataka till June 23 as heavy rains are expected in the coastal region for the next three to four days.

The Indian Meteorological department has forecast strong winds and heavy rain fall in the Coastal Karnataka.

Based on the forecast, Yellow alert has been issued in the district for four days.

According to the reports, on Thursday, June  18,  Udupi received 12 mm of rainfall,  11mm in Karwar and Bhagamandala whereas Ankola, Shirari and Kadra received 9mm rainfall each.
