Bengaluru: Congress students wing National Students Union of India (NSUI) protested in front of the Education Minister Suresh Kumar house demanding the cancellation of the SSLC examinations.

Members of the NSUI stated that many students will have to suffer problems due to the COVID-19 crisis in the State if the SSLC examination is allowed to occur.

The NSUI members were immediately arrested by the police in Basaveshwara Nagar for organising the protest in front of the Education Minister’s residence.

Minister Suresh Kumar had clarified that there was no question of stopping the examination in the State as was done in other States due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

A woman from Belgaum had also filed an appeal in the Supreme Court to stop the examinations which the Court rejected.
