Mangaluru: Covid-19 patient identified by Aarogya Setu app

Mangaluru: A 27-year-old youth from Mangalore, Yekkur has been tested positive for Covid-19 yesterday, June 22.

He was identified through Aarogya  Setu app. The app alerted the neighbours and informed them about a Covid-19 positive patient in the area.

Later, the neighbours questioned the man and when tested he was positive for Covid-19.

Sources claim, the man was a fish vendor and daily visited Bunder to buy fish. It is suspected that he might have contracted the virus in Bunder.

Health officials are now in search for those who have come in contact with the man.
