Ullal: 17 of same family test COVID-19 positive

Ullal: 17 members of the same family here tested positive for the COVID-19. The virus spread throughout the family through a female member of the family.
The 57-year-old female member was detected to be COVID-19 positive earlier. Later, when her 16 family members’ samples were taken for test, all of them tested positive for the virus.
Two police personnel from the Ullal police station had earlier tested positive for COVID-19. Two other police personnel who had come in primary contact with them also tested positive for the virus.
Additionally, two foreign arrivals who were undergoing quarantine at a resort here had tested positive.
MLA U T Khader visited sealed areas of the town and informed the residents on precautionary measures to be undertaken to stop the spread of the virus.
