These days it is common to watch tv while eating. Experts say that it is fine to sometimes have a snack in front of the TV, but when it becomes a repeated pattern, or when eating and watching TV become cognitively linked, then it turns into an unhealthy habit
Here is why you should not watch tv while eating
1.If you eat while watching tv, the brain is distracted and sends out the wrong signals to the body and does not process the taste or satisfaction.
2.One tends to eat more while watching TV as we have not been paying attention to how much we are eating
3.Watching TV while eating reduces the metabolic rate at which you should ideally digest the food and gain energy.
4.Eating while watching television increases the amount of food one consumes, especially sweet, and packaged high-calorie snacks.
5.Studies claim, as you are distracted by the television while having a meal, your body does not register the act and makes you feel hungry soon after.
